The delegates page allows you to set HR permissions, the most common setting is configuring holiday approval. You can also provide access to other staff member's holiday calendars and set who can record sickness for staff.

How Do I Use The Delegates Page
Page Glossary (A list of all fields with descriptions)
- Click on the Admin button:
- Click on Absence > Holiday > Delegates:
- Function This dropdown selector allows you to choose the permission the delegate will act for.
Example: Choosing holiday approve will allow you to set the staff the delegate should approve holiday for.

Delegate This dropdown selector allows you to choose the delegate that will act for staff.
Example: when the function is set to holiday approve this would be the holiday approver.

Department When a department is selected the staff to act for selection will update to only show staff from that department.
- Staff to act for: Adding a tick to a staff member's checkbox will allow the delegate to have the function for them.
For example: if the function is set to holiday approval the delegate would approve holidays for the selected staff members.
Page Glossary
Function
This field lets you select the function you would like to create delegate relationships for. The following options are available.
Holiday Request / Cancel
This option will give the delegate access to the holiday calendars for the selected staff to act for.
Holiday Approve
This option will give the delegate access to approve holidays for the selected staff to act for.
Sickness Recording
This option will give the delegate access to add sickness for the selected staff to act for.
Holiday Notification
This option will allow the delegate to receive an email notification when a holiday is requested by the selected staff to act for.
Delegate
This field sets the delegate you would like to add relationships for.
Department
This field filters the list of staff members displayed to a single department.
For Department
This checkbox cannot be changed, it will indicate if the selected delegate has the company role for the selected function. Roles superseded relationships so if the delegate has the department role they will not need relationships for the department.
For Company
This checkbox cannot be changed, it will indicate if the selected delegate has the department role for the selected function. Roles superseded relationships so if the delegate has the company role they will not need relationships set as they can access this function for all company staff.
Staff to act for:
Adding a tick to these checkboxes set the staff members who will be added to this delegate relationship.
