Holiday leave can be set for the whole company, a staff member, or a combination. for example, you can say everyone in your company has 25 days of holiday apart from a select few users who have 10 days as they are part-time. You can also create pro-rata holiday rules to automatically calculate a staff member's holiday entitlement from their joining date.

Pro-Rata Holiday
The Tempora holiday system will allow you to pro-rata holiday by configuring a list of rules for staff members. These rules will define the number of holiday days a staff member should receive based on when they joined the company.
When creating pro-rata rules these are often set at the <All> value so all staff are subject to the same rules.
- Click on Admin >Absence > Holiday > Annual Leave Entitlement
- Set Staff to <All> or select a staff member if you would like to pro-rata an individual staff member.
- You can now configure the Holiday rule
Periods - The order in which the rules will be applied
Period length - The number of days, weeks, months or years in each period.
Units - The type of period defined e.g. 1 day, week or month,
Days - The number of days holiday this user should receive once the period is completed
Year-End - If enabled this will show the users full holiday entitlement for the full year from their joining date. - Holiday rule example
In this example every 20 days worked the staff member will receive one day of holiday time.
