This guide provides information about the option on the staff roles page. This page is located in Tempora in Admin > User Accounts > Staff > (staff name) > Roles > (company name).
This page allows you set roles for a staff member, roles set what a user is able to access in Tempora. If you have additional questions about these fields please use the Submit a request button in the top right of this page to contact our team for help.
Please note that most companies use a _Custom admin role. This role contains all of the permissions that an administrator will need, this allows you to set a single role to set a user's account as an administrator.

Grants the ability to finalise invoices. |
Billing |
Grants access to fee schedules, income, sales invoices, discounts and time selling rates. |
Billing Supervisor |
Grants enhanced billing permissions. |
Client Structure Administrator |
Grants the ability to add, delete or modify clients, projects and activities. |
Client Structure View |
Grants read-only access to the client structure. |
Company Administrator |
Grants the ability to add, delete and modify calendars, departments, report filters, roles, schedules, suppliers and VAT rates. |
Company Staff Administrator |
Grants the ability to amend staff details and their Prompt configuration. |
Company Static Data |
Grants the ability to add, delete and modify departments, job titles and report filters. |
Company View |
Grants read-only access to calendars, departments and job titles. |
Cost Schedules |
Grants the ability to configure cost schedules and client cost schedules. |
Department Holiday entitlement |
Grants the ability to allocate holiday entitlement to staff members. |
Export Data |
Grants the ability to perform any export under Reports > Export. |
Financial Controller |
Grants the ability to add, delete and modify fee schedules, income, discounts and time selling rates. Also grants access to client reports and sales/purchase reports. |
Holiday Administrator |
Grants the ability to configure the holiday add-on. |
Holiday Approve |
Grants the ability to approve staff members’ holiday requests. The names of these staff members can be specified on the Delegates page. |
Holiday Company Approve |
Grants the ability to approve holiday requests from anyone in the company (except their own holiday requests). |
Holiday Department Approve |
Grants the ability to approve holiday requests from anyone in the same department (except their own holiday requests). |
Holiday Notification |
Grants the ability to receive email notifications for staff members’ holiday requests. The names of these staff members can be specified on the Delegates page. |
Holiday Notification for Company |
Grants the ability to receive email notifications for holiday requests from anyone in the company (except their own holiday requests). |
Holiday Notification for Dept |
Grants the ability to receive email notifications for holiday requests from anyone in the same department (except their own holiday requests). |
Holiday Req/Cancel for Company |
Grants the ability to request/cancel holidays on behalf of anyone in the company. |
Holiday Req/Cancel for Department |
Grants the ability to request/cancel holidays on behalf of anyone in the same department. |
Holiday Request/Cancel |
Grants the ability to request/cancel holidays for oneself and on behalf of other staff members. The names of these staff members can be specified on the Delegates page. |
Holiday Supervisor |
Grants the ability to override rules relating to holiday requests. |
Import Data |
Grants the ability to perform any import under Reports > Import. |
Job Buyer |
Grants access to job estimates, purchase orders and supplier invoices. |
Job Maintenance |

Grants the ability to configure the sickness settings. |
Sickness Recording |
Grants the ability to record sickness for other staff members. The names of these staff members can be specified on the Delegates page. |
Staff Administrator |
Grants the ability to add/modify staff members and time approval groups. |
Staff Rates |
Grants the ability to view a staff member’s cost rate. |
